About the Author
Owen Lowery is a poet whose work has been published in PN Review and Stand. He has been listed in the Bridport Prize, the International Sonnet Competition, the Virginia Warbey Prize, and the Welsh Open Poetry Competition. He is the author of Otherwise Unchanged. Paula Rego is a Portuguese painter and printmaker considered one of the leading figurative artists of the day. Her career as an artist spans half a century, during which she was nominated for the 1989 Turner Prize, was awarded the Grã Cruz da Ordem de Sant'Iago da Espada by the president of Portugal, won the 2010 MAPFRE Foundation Drawing Prize in Madrid, and was made a dame of the British Empire in the 2010 Queen's Birthday Honours.

A brilliant marriage of the paintings of Paula Rego and powerful interpretations by Owen Lowery...This is not an easy read but is well worth a careful study...Lowery has a masterful command of language and you will see much more of him in the future. This is a fascinating book.
