Not exactly low-carb

This book looked promising, but unfortunately it included a lot of high carbohydrate ingredients. Honey and brown sugar? Really? Also, the author did not include fiber counts which many people used to determine net carbs. Carbohydrates minus fiber equals net carbs , which is an important thing for many people on low carbohydrate diets .

A definite 5-Star book. Should be in everyone's kitchen. Get it and read it and you'll see why.

Watching your carbs can be so exasperating so when I found this book, I bought it fast. I'm so glad I bought it because this author has done her research. Carb swapping is swapping the refined carbs, which are bad for you, with healthier ingredients. I like the fact that both the nutritional values (calories, fat, carbs, protein, sodium and sugar) and the health benefits are shown on each of these amazing recipes.

Comparing the nutritional values of the regular dishes with the nutritional values of the carb-swapped dishes helps the readers see how much more nutritious the carb-swapped dishes are. For breakfast every morning I used to eat oatmeal with either raisins, blueberries or cranberries in it. Not any more! Now I eat the carb-swapped oatmeal and I love it. My family and I also love the carb-swapped chicken Enchiladas. The little "boats" are so cute and so much healthier. Get the book and try some of these wonderful recipes. This is a great, well-written book that everyone should cook from at least 3 days out of the 7.

In reading from front cover to back I have to say is a great buy. There is allot of needed information given. All recipes have the nutrients included. Good book
