About the Author
Born in California and raised in Chicago, Bobbi Zehner now lives in Madison, Wisconsin, where she formerly worked as a high school sign language interpreter. Known for her curiosity, Zehner has long been intrigued by “small world” stories and enjoys not only writing about her own experiences but also gathering other people’s tales of happenstance.
Kate Conklin Corcoran, a retired English teacher and fellow Chicago expat, lives in Madison with her husband and two grandsons. After teaching for thirty years in Madison public schools, Corcoran now spends her time reading, writing, and editing while also working at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

A Book Full of Cool

I was lucky enough to be at the 'publication party' for this book, because the large convivial crowd there got to hear several of the captivating vignettes from a number of the author-contributors who were in attendance. Including truly sparkling pieces by the two editors (and force field) behind the book, Bobbi Zehner and Kate Corcoran. It's engaging to anticipate where a particular true story is going to take you and I never quite guessed accurately. Truth was dependably more interesting than however I might imagine an event / incident would turn out. This gold mine of so many stories gets you thinking about those times in your own life when some inexplicable coincidence landed in your lap and you were saying to yourself: No way. and: What are the odds? And you go; how cool is THIS? Here then, for your reading pleasure, is a book full of Cool.

Fun read, great read, capturing every day ordinary extraordinary

I heartily recommend this book, having just purchased several for friends to enjoy, and others to stow away for holiday gifts. If you have read any writings by Ms. Zehner, you will know immediately you are in for a treat. Her writings alone worth the book, chock full of synchronicity almost anybody can identify with, and do. You will be treated to fun trip and probably have stories of your own to contribute. I like the ease of reading short stories; one can engage immediately, then pick up at another time anywhere in the book and be taken away.

Tales of a Female Nomad, Living at Large in the World
I've been reading bits and pieces over the last couple of weeks. It's fun and uplifting, and it makes the reader smile, which is such a joy in this world of bad and worse news. How great it is to read brief vignettes that make the reader smile and think of the connections in his/her life. As my readers know, I think the essence of life and joy is in the "connecting." Everyone should have a copy in the bathroom for a short, quick, and fun fix!
