I am very picky about my chocolate! That is the hardest thing for me when going towards a more natural diet. I'm also gluten free. Mushy fluffy, cakey cookies or brownies don't cut it for me. I want them to be crispy, chewy, and fudgy. This recipe is the bomb! I made them tonight and followed the instructions and they were perfect! My kids loved them and kept wanting more. You would never know the substance is a nut base. I'm pretty sure these would also be considered paleo. I haven't tried the cream filling, which is also listed in the recipe, but by themself, I will definitely be making them again. I took a gamble, guessing that if the author was confident enough in her recipe to post it as ebook, it must be good. And I was right! From someone who has tried 20+ healthy chocolate and cookie recipes, this "takes the cake". :)

I'm so grateful for the diligent work that devoted people go to in order for me to easily make nutritious treats to replace treats made with processed sugar and flour! These recipes are every bit as wonderful as the non-nutritious variety. Enjoy!

This is really good. I have 5 children at home and made this recipe. Only I made it into brownies. My children all came home and grabbed one and ate it up. it's light and fluffy and soft. Great flavor. Great texture. I made my own almond butter for it as I'm pretty protective of the almond butter I buy :) I'll definitely make this again. I think I'll try sucanat as a sweetener next time since I have loads of it.
