About the Author
Mary Emma Showalter founded the home economics department at Eastern Mennonite University, where she taught from 1946 1972. Mennonite Community Cookbook is the grandmother of all Mennonite and Amish cookbooks. She authored this 1950 cookbook because a cookbook of favorite recipes of Mennonite families had never been published.

I was so pleased to find it on Kindle

I have had this book for years, and have used it frequently. I am now living in Italy, and it was one of the things I chose not to move with me. I was so pleased to find it on Kindle! It is easy to read, unlike some of the books I have gotten that have been "kindlized", and all of my favorite recipes are now back in my hands.
Try the Brown Sugar Pudding... one of my favorites.

Finally on the Kindle!

I am so happy this is finally available on the Kindle. When I was growing up, this cookbook was given to all brides in my extended family. It was a must. The recipes appeal to all who have grown up "dutchie" (Pennsylvania Dutch). I am delighted to have it in this format!
